He’s broke so he’s capitalising on the stupid/racist people out there who’ll buy into any person who says what they want to here, it’s a very quick fix, but as proven by Hopkins, it’ll just end up putting him into a worse position than he was before, a hateful pariah with no prospects other than an occasional panel show to ‘upset the libs’ people like him don’t actually believe anything they say, they spot an opportunity and run with it
