I shall be taking upon the mammoth task of ranking each animal crossing new horizons villager by species. This list is absolutely canon and any differing opinions will be considered invalid and void. I'll be listing the villagers nature in brackets next to their name.
With that said here we go.....

Birds

13. Admiral (cranky)

ugly hideous cranky mess, although I do enjoy his forest green colour.


12. Anchovy (lazy)

crazy eyes and his eyebrows are way too bushy.


11. Jitters (jock)

what a hideous colouration. He looks like hes cracked out.


10. Jay (jock)

the dark blue body with the red head crown is a choice.. his green t-shirt throws the whole look off.


9. Lucha (smug)

quite an interesting design based on a luchador mask.


8. Robin (snooty)

I only recently realised Robin was a girl.. a butch queen! that t-shirt tho..


7. Sparro (jock)

He looks a little cracked out but he pulls it off a lot better than Jitters.


6. Jacob (lazy)

I really like his colours and how his outfit actually compliments them.


5. Twiggy (peppy)

I love her pacman eyes. Shes also the only yellow bird which is iconic!


4. Peck (jock)

Theres just something really interesting about his design, I love the whiteout round eyes.


3. Piper (peppy)

A queen! She should've been a snooty villager, she looks the part a lot more than Robin.


2. Jacques (smug)

I love his whole cool guy could-be-an-artist in Paris type look with his goatee.


1. Midge (normal)

An unproblematic legend! Her pink colour is cute and her little swirls on each cheek are adorable!

Cows

4. Norma (normal)

Seems sweet and unproblematic, I love her blue hoofs.


3. Patty (peppy)

Her brown cow design with the matching yellow horns and hoofs is iconic.


2. Tipper (snooty)

I recently had her on my island and she was always giving fashion advice to the other girlies, a true sis!


1. Naomi (snooty)

So mysterious and iconic, her black eyes with the red makeup look mystifying and her outfit choice is hypnotic!

Octopus

3. Octavian (cranky)

I hate his design so much.. he looks like hes bloated and that auntie t-shirt is a mess..


2. Zucker (lazy)

I've never really seen the appeal in Zucker.. why is his body red?


1. Marina (normal)

Could anyone possible disagree on this? Marina is a true singing queen! When I had her she spent every day singing in the town square, my islands very own Celine!

Frogs

what an absolute gross freak


17. Raddle (lazy)

why is he a doctor?


16. Huck (smug)

the nerve of him to be smug with that ugly ass nose


15. Ribbot (jock)

first of all why is he a robot, second of all why is he a jock


14. Camofrog (cranky)

another absolute freak


13. Frobert (jock)

what was I saying about freaks? ..and a jock? I dont think.


12. Prince (lazy)

hes not the worst I guess, but whats with the beard thing?


11. Tad (jock)

eh.. things could be worse


10. Henry (smug)

took me ages to get him to leave.. he has weird brown spots on the back of his head which look like sores. gross.


9. Croque (cranky)
lowkey living for the angry face, if you're gonna be cranky at least show it!


8. Drift (jock)

his colours remind me of one of those sex on the beach cocktail pitchers you get from spoons, so thats nice.


7. Jeremiah (lazy)

kinda cute, love his blue colour and the yellow shirt is rather nice.


6. Cousteau (jock)

a french king! his mustard yellow colouring is very cute and his mustache is adorable.


5. Puddles (peppy)

A pop icon! She lived with me for a bit but she was SO self-centered and started pissing me off.


4. Lily (normal)
without a doubt the cutest, sweetest frog! Her pastel colours are stunning.


3. Diva (sisterly)

A true diva! Her purple colourscheme is honestly a look and her house is filled with Egyptian artifacts. She can be a little rude at times though but its okay.


2. Jambette (normal)

A forever-stay on my island! What a true legend, so nice and never gets involved in any drama, she keeps to herself because she knows she looks damn good!


1. Gigi (snooty)

snooty villagers are given a bad name by people but Gigi is one of the nicest, sweetest villagers. Her Marilyn Monroe inspired look is to die for and she just looks absolutely stunning. She has a full head of blonde hair on the back too.

9. Cranston (lazy)

I dont have anything against him, hes just a little crazy looking


8. Gladys (normal)

she seems sweet, nothing particularly striking though.


7. Sandy (normal)

I love her colour. shes cute, albeit a little plain..


6. Flora (peppy)

technically a flamingo, I love her design I just wish she had nicer eyes.


5. Phil (smug)

I kinda love his glimmery smug eyes


4. Julia (snooty)

her colours are lovely and her tail is beautiful!


3. Queenie (snooty)

I live for her lavender pallet and her bangs! A vegan fringe queenie!


2. Phoebe (sisterly)

a stunning queen! I love the yellow/red colours with the hints of electric blue added in. The black tied crop top is a lewk


1. Blanche (snooty)

yet another snooty villager at #1 Blanche is so sweet and her name was inspired by Blanche from The Golden Girls which makes her even more iconic. Her black wrap dress is gorgeous, shes just all round amazing!
