Jenny Frankhauser grew up in Ludwigshafen with her half-brother and half-sister Daniela Katzenberger as the daughter of Iris Klein. Her parents divorced a few years after their birth. Since the age of 17, Frankhauser has appeared together with her family members in various programmes, mostly docu-soaps around her sister Daniela Katzenberger. With the song Die Zeit steht still, Jenny Frankhauser was at number 64 on the German singles charts for a week in August 2016.
In January and February 2018, Frankhauser, like her mother in 2013, took part in the reality show I'm a Star – Get Me Out of Here! and won it after telephone voting.
