Default Good riddance to bad rubbish

BAD news for Antony Cotton — his ITV chat show has been pulled.

The actor, Corrie’s Sean Tully, had planned to front another series of That Antony Cotton Show.

But apparently bosses have tired of trying so-so talk shows in the 5pm slot and will instead give it over to quiz shows.

A pal of the soap favourite told TV Biz: “Antony was hoping to do another series with the show slightly tweaked.

“But ITV don’t want that now. He’s still going to do other things aside from Corrie — there’s a quiz show idea on the table.”

ITV’s change of tack could be great news for Antony’s former Corrie colleague Bradley Walsh, who is piloting a new quiz next week.

Bradley Walsh’s Exit Strategy is a big-money game where the losers get dumped out on to the street — literally.

ITV wants to inflict the ultimate humiliation on people who don’t make the grade.

Let’s hope the pilot is a success then, eh, Bradders?
