To be fair, Zizi is right and sadly young adults/older teens do "take on" a lot of Love Island trends. This year though, I don't think the silly sex chat is the problem... it's the boys being cheating scumbags and facing ZERO consequences from the girls, who take them back within days. The Toby and Chloe situation isn't quite as bad, they were apart for a while and he actually seemed to learn something, but the Liam and Tyler situations are gross. Went on a "lads holiday", did whatever they wanted, came back and got a slap on the wrist and were welcomed back with open arms within a couple of days.
These "low expectations" do filter down into the general public... boys messing around with other girls will become "annoying but expected" and it will be seen as acceptable to simply welcome them back after a brief spell "in the doghouse".
