Not really...I think Luca would like to make Gemma his 'Girlfriend' but he knows she doesn't want to do that at this point out of respect to her mum. I think Luca feels that by not having that commitment that their relationship is not as 'good' as the other couples when in fact it is stronger.
Tbh...I find it extremely cringy and the outside will be so different for all of them.
