To point out the absurdity of the situation; that there are members of the Great British Public who are genuinely backing Taliban statements simply because they dislike H&M so much. That people genuinely cannot bring themselves to say that they like a random celebrity couple more than a violent, misogynistic religious regime.
The point is that it's like a bad comedy that would be too far fetched for anyone to believe, but that's where we are with this. That's how passionate yet completely irrational the dislike of Harry and Meghan has become.
The point is that they're not in any way even vaguely comparable to the Taliban.
