On Saturday afternoon I went to check on someone after one of his mums carer phoned me on Thursday to say had I seen him
I only really saw him when he needed me to do things for him His mum was back in hospital or a nursing home waiting to come back home I wasn’t going to check and was driving in the opposite direction but some thing made me turn around He lived in a caravan in his mums garden, his car was outside I went to the door of the house and got no answer, i then went to the caravan and got no answer I looked through a small window in the kitchen that lead onto the front room I thought I could see some one laying on the front room floor in front of the sofa But I was doubting myself a neighbour across the road who knew the family for many was in his front garden, I went and asked him to look through the window and confirm it was a person He said yes, I phoned 999 and asked for the police the doors and windows were shut Was put through to the ambulance service , they turned up and said it didn’t look good, they called the fire brigade who put the door in, the paramedics went inside and came out a shot time after to say he had passed away The the police turned up Asked me a load of questions , paramedics said he been there some time, police and paramedics mood changed a bit towards me , I heard a police man talking to the station that he had some bruises to his chest and sternum Eventually another higher ranking officer came out and was talked through the scene The original officer came to me and said he was not going to get me to make a statement as he was happy it was natural causes My friend was a heavy drinker he was probably in his mid to late 50’s I had to identify his body. Just wanted to share that with you guys |
