More tributes to Mark Speight
The devastated mother of Mark Speight's fiancee Natasha Collins spoke out last night over her heartbreak at losing the couple. Carmen Collins, 57, had taken distraught Mark into her home following the death of her daughter in January and said the pair had become close, “We can see why Natasha loved him so much, as we grew to love him even more” she said. “We are very sad and cannot believe what has happened. Mark was a truly special person and we were privileged to have had him in our lives.” Mark had been on his way to meet Carmen in Covent Garden when he went missing. It also emerged last night that the SMart presenter’s body was actually found on the roof of MacMillan House – an office block next to Paddington Station – and it is thought he had been there since Monday. Showbiz pal Timmy Mallett also paid tribute to the tragic star, saying, “Mark was a delight to work with and a joy to watch.”

Kate loses £10,000 birthday present
That pesky Terminal 5 is proving to be a right old pain, isn't it? Especially for Kate Moss, who lost a £10,000 birthday present for mate Fran Cutler. Kate lost the swanky bracelet on a flight to LA two weeks ago and when she arrived back yesterday, it still hadn't arrived, alongside £3,000 worth of prototypes for her new Topshop range. BA have paid Kate £10,000 compensation, but the model ain't happy. "Kate is livid," said a friend. We bet she is.

Leona’s HUGE in America
Did you ever doubt she was going to be a mega star? We didn't, but even we can't quite believe the stratospheric leap that Leona Lewis' career has taken. The X Factor champ looks set to score an almighty double in the US tomorrow, by claiming the top spot in both the album and single charts with Spirit and Bleeding Love. Astonishingly, it would be the first time in history that a British female star has achieved such success in the US. The album has sold over 200,000 copies, while the single had slipped down the chart to number four, but now seems to be rising again. Bet there’s a very smug Simon Cowell somewhere right at this minute... We’re keeping our fingers crossed for you, Leona.

Melinda Messenger’s shock marriage split
Page Three "stunna" Melinda Messenger has split from her husband of ten years, Wayne Roberts. The couple, thought to have a fairytale marriage, are having a "trial separation", it was confirmed yesterday. The mum of three appeared on BBC Breakfast yesterday without her ring on, and friends say that there was no one else involved in the split, just that the couple had "grown apart". They continued, "There have been difficulties with Melinda becoming such a big star and Wayne having to appear in the background."
