I would agree that they should focus on cars but advertising has a long long history of advertising products without actually advertising the product, and it's often done very successfully. For example, the Cadbury's adverts with the kids with the crazy eyebrows and the gorilla playing the drums. Budweiser's "Whassup!" adverts, beer and alcohol adverts that feature attractive people on holiday but no actual beer. Advertising is often about selling a feeling rather than the product itself. If you can sell a feeling, the product sells itself.
I'm not saying that I think this Jaguar advert is even done very well, I just think constantly resorting to the "woke" card every time something isn't 100% white is just tiring and has become a dog whistle for racists.
