Default Are we as a BB fandom letting our own personal bias cloud our judgment?

I am including myself very much in this as well, because we all probably have this issue to some extent.

But as a fandom, is the BB fandom becoming increasingly more prejudiced against certain Housemates, whilst being very supportive of other types of Housemates, regardless of their behaviour?

For some examples:

- Tate and Marcus being called "boring" and just in general not very well liked on here (the same can be said for Cameron B) could that be because they're all subconsciously being perceived as Jock/Gym Bro kind of people? And the die hards in the BB fandom (the main viewership of BBUK nowadays) have always had a bit of a grudge against this type of Housemate in past years, regardless of their behaviour in my view.

My main point being that they get called out for being "boring" more than Nancy, Sam, Cameron K, Teja, Elsa, Zelah, and Richard who haven't exactly lit up the series either. But they get/got given more leniency for being boring by a lot of the public, and I can't help but wonder if it's certain individuals bias against the type of Housemate that Tate, Cameron B, and Marcus represent demographically, rather than on how they're coming across individually if that makes sense?

- I've noticed throughout the series (and especially recently) that Jenny and Cameron get a lot of not so subtle weight jibes thrown their way on here and on Social Media, and I can't help but feel that some people are simply not liking them purely because their overweight and there has always been a bizarre section of the BB fandom every year that loves to attack the fat Housemates just because they're fat.

Just to be brutally honest, but disliking Housemates because of their weight problems (which I know that some of these people will try and deny that's the reason for their dislike of them) is possibly worse than wanting someone to win the Show because you "feel sorry for them."

I get that we all like to see physically attractive people to a point, but ultimately we are supposed to be judging the BB Housemates personalities, not their weight.

And to defend Feyisola slightly on this as well, I do wonder if people would've liked her more if she weren't bald and looked butch?

- I've seen some people implying that Richard is a pervert, and I can't tell if some people are genuinely seeing signs of something that I haven't, or are some people again just insinuating stuff about Richard because he is 60 years old and not looking like a Model?

- Caroline just in general I feel like a large chunk of the public had dismissed her on Launch Night tbh.

I get that some people will bring up a lot of her behaviour which is fair.

But does anyone really think that a woman with short hair who's in her 50's was ever really going to win BB, even if she'd have been the nicest Housemate of all time? Because I highly doubt it.

- To end on my main nemesis for the series.... Nancy!

As I've already touched on, she got away with being incredibly boring whilst a couple of the other Housemates get pulled up for it constantly.

She got away with smiling at Jenny crying in the hut, and patronizing Jenny throughout the whole chat. Which interestingly I believe that if Caroline, Marcus, Tate, or Jenny herself were to behave exactly like that towards someone, we wouldn't hear the end of it from a large chunk of the public, but because it was Nancy for some reason it was largely ignored after a couple of days.

Plus she did imply that Cameron K was basically gross because he walked around the house in his shorts or something like that. Again I don't believe that Caroline or Jenny would get away with saying this sort of stuff about someone, which to me is psychologically interesting as it also is frustrating, because such a bias kills discussion slightly when it happens on BB or any other Reality Show for that matter.

Basically do you personally think that we as a fandom have unhealthy bias against certain Housemates, and if so do you believe that we need to address those particular biased viewpoints that some of us are having nearly every series that's aired on ITV in particular?
