No they ******ing don't . It actually p*sses most people off , it's so lazy and it makes you seem thick .
Text speech is only used on mobiles because it saves money and is easier , there's no excuse for it on CPU screens .

BTW - As if people understand it better on than English you plank . I actually find it very hard to understand a lot of it , not everyone uses shorthand , and some people; hard as it may be for you to believe , don't own a mobile . It's not clever ,and it's not cool. It should be banned .
