Some have said they tried evicting Mario (or perhaps someone other than Stephanie) but couldn't get through.
To counter this - I, and one or two other members, have stated that we were unable to vote for Stephanie at times. Therefore the lines were just busy, and you should have voted again when you could. I did.
All of these polls and discussions aren't reflective of the whole of the country. There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people who just occasionally watch the show and cast a few votes here or there. They don't phone in BBLB, or post on BB forums, or vote in unofficial polls...they're not that obsessed with the show.
And besides - do you honestly think Channel 4 and Endemol would risk a fixing scandal like these after the countless examples made with shows like the X Factor, Blue Peter, Deal or No Deal, Richard & Judy etc...? They don't have the millions of pounds worth of fines to potentially lose.
Ultimately, I think that Stephanie went as a result of early-week voting. Before Mario became bitchy around Wednesday/Thursday - Stephanie was the strong favourite to go. And think about it; most people vote when the lines are recently announced. So although the hate swung from Stephanie to Mario later last week - not as many people were voting.
None of us work in these call centres, and to speculate on the matter is just further damaging the credibility of Big Brother. She was a fairly good housemate, but she was evicted fair and square. There is no evidence to prove otherwise, so move on.
