The contestants participating in the Australian version of Big Brother were evacuated from the compound in the early hours of Monday morning after a fire broke out in the house.

Unofficial site Behind Big Brother reported seeing smoke and orange flashes in the sauna area before the ten remaining housemates were instructed to assemble in the garden.

The live feed was then cut and, when it returned, featured apparently archive footage of the housemates sleeping.
