BOSSES are to hold crunch talks over Big Brother’s Little Brother host Zezi Ifore after she MISSED a show yesterday.
The much-criticised star failed to get out of bed — forcing 28-year-old co-host George Lamb to front the show alone.
Big Brother chiefs will discuss today whether to keep newpresenter Zezi, 23, on the spin-off show — or ditch her for a fresher face.
A BB spokeswoman said last night: “Zezi’s alarm didn’t go off so she slept in. But she’s still part of the show.”
And angry viewers called for the “utterly appalling” BBLB host to be DUMPED.
The 23-year-old didn’t do her cause any good yesterday when she missed the show by oversleeping.
but she had already annoyed fans with her below-par performance as co-presenter of the daily Big Brother spin-off show.
She and model George Lamb, 28, were drafted in to replace Dermot O’Leary after he quit to join the X Factor.
But while dashing George has become a hit, viewers have turned their fire on Zezi.
They have launched an online campaign to force Channel 4 to dump the “DJ and stylist”.
One fan posted on the C4 Big Brother forum: “Keep her off the screen.”
Another posted on digitalspy: “Has there ever been a worse UK presenter? She’s been utterly appalling.”
Another added: “Utterly dreadful — but she wasn’t qualified to do it in the first place. Will she last the series at this rate? George could be left on his own — it certainly wouldn’t be any worse.”
Others also suggested pin-up George should front the show on his own.
After he was forced to do just that yesterday, one viewer wrote: “I think we should all send our comments to BB to let them know how good the Zezi-free BBLB is.”
One disgruntled fan even revealed they had stopped watching the show now Zezi is fronting it.
Channel 4 has noted the criticism and will address it during a meeting of show bosses today.
Zezi’s future is expected to be top of the agenda after she stood-up the crew yesterday by “sleeping in”.
A C4 spokeswoman explained that Zezi had accidentally set the wrong alarm time on her mobile phone.
She insisted the presenter was still “part of the show” — but insiders last night admitted the move had been frowned upon. One said: “Bosses are already feeling the heat from all the criticism so when she rang in late yesterday it went down very badly. They will be talking about it today.
“Fortunately George did a good job of hosting the show on his own so we were able to muddle through.
“Can you imagine if Zezi was hosting it on her own and didn’t show? It would have been an absolute disaster.”
C4 bosses knew they were taking a gamble by appointing the unknown Zezi.
She had some TV experience having worked on E4 music show Freshly Squeezed — where she interviewed “some of the biggest artists around”, according to the broadcaster.
Her other media work includes editing pretentious “style mag” Super Super and dressing up rap star Dizzee Rascal for a fashion shoot.
This year is the first time Dermot has not fronted the show since it was created in 2001 as a spin-off for BB2.
The show helped launch Dermot’s career as before he was a long-standing face on teen strand T4.
