Default \'say it to my face\'

Just wondered why in BB history, the biggest problem people have with HMs is when they talk behind other people's backs. HMs have frequently said 'If you've got something to say about me, say it to my face' or 'If I've got a problem with someone I just go and tell that person'....

How many people actually just go up to someone who annoys them in some way and says e.g. 'oh by the way, it really annoys me when you ...' why make a big thing out of something you may just mention to someone close to you instead. And also some people don't like confrontation so perhaps if there's been bad feeling between two people, one of them may just confide in someone they trust instead of going and starting a row with the person in question.

There's bitching, and then there's just not making a huge deal out of something - and the reason it looks so bad when the HMs talk 'behind someone's back' is becuase we see and hear everything. So I don't think we should judge so much if some HMs only say stuff to other people, everyone is different after all.
