Default How to drop out of uni

Anyone here with any advice? I've started a course at uni and done a year but I'm not enjoying the place nor the uni in general. I don't want to be a uni dropout completely, but instead take a year out perhaps and try again - or go through clearing, contact unis separately etc. I'm sure there's some sort of option but I see no point in staying if I'm unhappy.

How do I go about this? Who in my uni would I contact - admissions? I had a personal tutor last year but would be assigned a new one this year, and want to contact someone official rather than just the department who might not be able to do anything.
