BOTOX fan Dannii Minogue is giving up the injections after admitting they have left her face frozen.

The Aussie judge said X Factor viewers could no longer tell what facial expression she was pulling after the jabs made her lines disappear.

Despite battling younger rival Cheryl Cole in the beauty stakes, Dannii has now decided to grow old gracefully after her mask-like appearance left her the butt of many jokes.

The pop singer, who turns 37 tomorrow, said: “A lot of people think I have had a million surgical things done but I haven’t. And in terms of ageing, surgery isn’t a first option.

“As for Botox, for the job I do now I need to express myself so I’m not having that any more.”

It is believed Dannii made the decision to ditch the beauty procedure after becoming a laughing stock over her emotionless face.

She is also said to be upset after being portrayed as the reality show’s Ice Queen.

Talking about surgery she has had done in the past, Dannii said recently: “It didn’t make me happier. If you link cosmetic surgery into happiness or to be
perfect you’re never going to be happy.”

And our source revealed: “Dannii’s Botox is becoming a bigger talking point than her mentoring skills.

“People have started to be quite cruel about it, even Louis Walsh has made fun of her a few times.

“Last year she was know as the young, sexy judge and now, because of Cheryl’s arrival, she’s been branded the old has-been.

“This is hard for Dannii to deal with but, instead of having more Botox to compete with Cheryl, she has decided to stop having injections completely.”

But Dannii revealed there is one secret weapon she will never give up in order to look her best – Spanx underwear.

Kylie’s sister said: “They’re ugly and pulling them on is like getting into a wetsuit but they hold in all the shlop.

“You think: ‘Hey, this is what my butt would look like if I went to the gym!’”

Meanwhile, Dannii has being showing her softer side after bonding with X Factor hopeful Ruth Lorenzo.

She has been enjoying hour-long girlie chats each evening with the homesick Spanish singer, who has proved a hit with lusty Simon Cowell, 49.

Curvy Ruth is missing her boyfriend and family, who all live back in Spain, but kind-hearted Dannii is doing her best to cheer her up and help her stay positive.

The 25-year-old said: “Dannii and I have become good friends. We spend ages on the phone.

“I’ll be chatting away for an hour having a girlie chat and then I will be like: ‘Shit, it’s Dannii Minogue.’

“She told me she was depressed and lonely when she moved over here at first because she didn’t know many people.

“She has been really understanding because she has been through the same.”
