UPBEAT X Factor duo Same Difference want comedian Peter Kay to star in one of their videos after he took the mickey out of them.

The Portsmouth pair, once described as "two of the most annoying people I've ever met" by Simon Cowell, say they were flattered by Peter's coverage of them on the spoof Channel 4 show Britain's Got the Pop Factor.

Sibling act Sean, 23, and Sarah Smith, 19, are about to release their new single We R One on November 24 and their album Pop on December 1.

Sarah told the Razz: "Peter Kay absolutely ripped it out of us. Two Up Two Down was based on Same Difference, but you know what, he is a legend. He is so funny.

"A lot of what he said was true from The X Factor experience. It was an honour that he based people on us.

"Even if someone is taking the mick out of us, they are bringing us to the forefront."

The band can't wait to ask Peter to be in their video for the song If You Can't Dance.

Sarah said: "We wanted the video to be like an Amarillo-type thing and thought it would be amazing if Peter Kay would come along and do a mick-take. We are going to ask him."

Sean is sure, however, that Scots singer Leon Jackson will have the last laugh in his chart battle with Kay.

He said: "Leon's song will be around for longer. Peter Kay's Geraldine may have beaten him in the charts, but now it's happened, I don't think many people will buy the Geraldine song.

"Leon will stay in the top 10 for weeks on end, so he will have the last laugh"

Sean and Sarah bagged an album deal from Simon Cowell after proving a hit on The X Factor Live tour and they know they have the potential of a similar fanbase to High School Musical or Hannah Montana.

Sean said: "It's a good time for us. There's no one British that is doing this sort o music, it's all coming from America.

"We are really lucky. We know the market's there and we're just hoping we can get High School Musical fans."

But Sean admits he's not competition for High School hunk Zac Efron yet.

He said: "Zak won't see me as a threat. He's a megastar. Lucky man.

"They keep mentioning him at the record company as someone I should aspire to be like, he's an amazing guy."
