Well I dont mind coming here fraternizing with the working class peasants for a while.

Seriously, I didnt start the class war, Ruth, Im merely defending the honour of the upper classes. Ive noticed quite a few derogatory comments aimed at Derek because of how he speaks and his posh roots. Quite unfair, I think, and I was just seeing what would happen when I tried the same tactic by knocking the other end of the class system and making sweeping statements which you obviously took exception to.

Of course I dont think all working class people are dole scroungers and some northern accents arent that horrendous, but if people are going to bring up class and accents into this discussion then you can hardly moan when the shoes on the other foot.

Science chooses to go on the offensive and starts the bickering. Youre implying hes on the receiving end and having to defend himself which isnt true. I have studied Science very carefully and although sometimes he can be quite nice, he has been extremely rude.
