Default X Factor youngster Eoghan Quigg invited out on the town by Amy Winehouse

X Factor youngster Eoghan Quigg invited out on the town by Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse has been secretly phoning and texting 16-year-old X Factor star Eoghan Quigg.

The troubled singer even invited the innocent Northern Irish lad – her junior by nine years – to join her for a wild night on the tiles.

The revelation will enrage show boss Simon Cowell, who is fiercely protective of the finalists.

A source said: “Simon will hit the roof when he finds out about this.

“Amy is a massive talent but she’s in a bad place and the thought of her becoming pals with the youngest finalist is too much.”

Amy, who may be about to call time on her marriage to ex-jailbird Blake Fielder-Civil, got Eoghan’s number from her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, 12, who met the Darling of Derry backstage after the X Factor show three weeks ago.

She wants him to sing on a new album being recorded by Dionne.

But a source close to Amy con-firmed she was first in touch with the impressionable youngster on Wednesday. And since then her calls and texts have been persistent.

The insider said: “Amy wants to meet him whether he wins or loses.

“She’s a massive fan and thinks he’s cute. She told him he was doing well in the competition and to keep up all the good work. But she was also insistent that she wanted to meet up when he wasn’t rehear-sing – and Eoghan was up for it.”

The source continued: “Amy wants to help Dionne with her career and will be speaking to Simon Cowell about letting Eoghan sing on her album. I’m not sure, though, how that will go down with him.” Amy, who has battled crack and heroin addiction, could find out tonight – as she has even told Eoghan she’ll try to be in the studio to cheer him on.

She loves The X Factor and has been watching every week.

She organised the backstage tickets for Dionne. And the source said: “Her god-daughter and Eoghan got on a like a house on fire and were chatting for ages.

“They promised to keep in touch. But Eoghan was thrilled at the prospect of meeting Amy – though he isn’t sure his family will approve.”

Amy’s spokesman said last night: “Dionne told her godmother about him, so Amy just gave him a call.”

An X Factor spokesman also tried to play it cool by adding: “Amy’s a fan of Eoghan and wished him well.”

But news of her calls and texts followed more erratic behaviour on Thursday night – when the star was snapped wandering the streets of Camden clutching a vodka bottle and offering photographers swigs.

Meanwhile, Laura White has been snubbed by all the X Factor judges except her mentor Cheryl Cole since last week’s shock exit.

Laura, 21, from Bolton, said: “None of the others has been in touch.”

But she felt “fantastic” that 50,000 fans had signed a petition saying they were wrong to vote her off.
