![]() Fox Searchlight has signed deals with Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard to bring Arrested Development to the big screen. A film version of the short-lived sitcom has been rumoured since the show was axed in 2006. Cast members Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Jeffrey Tambor all expressed an interest in returning for a movie. The show's creator Hurwitz will write and direct the feature film, with Howard expected to provide voice-over narration and executive produce. Howard said earlier this month of the Arrested movie: "I'm very, very hopeful - more hopeful now than ever - that it's really going to happen." Arrested Development followed the level-headed Michael Bluth (Bateman) as he attempted to keep his eccentric family together in the midst of a corporate scandal. Digital Spy ![]() ![]() ![]()
