Joe Swash strips after getting ants in his pants in I'm A Celebrity

He's eaten a crocodile penis and showered naked with Timmy Mallet, but one part of jungle life Joe Swash couldn't cope with was getting ants in his pants.

The ex-EastEnders actor was caught in the uncomfortable situation when he took part in the Dread Over Heals bush tucker trial alongside campmates Nicola Mclean and Simon Webb.

The two men were strapped onto a giant wheel as Nicola rotated them to try and manoeuvure a ball through the wheels and into a hole.

Each of the nine balls was worth a meal in camp, but the game wasn't as simple as it at first appeared.

Joe squealed and squirmed all the way through the trial, complaining madly about the biting and nipping of the ants.

With eight of the possible nine balls returned, Simon and Joe were released from their wheels. Ant and Dec screamed with laughter as Joe jumped around trying to get the ants out of his pants.

'Those green ants love a bit of meat don’t they,' he screamed as he pulled off his clothes in a hurry.

Joe then complained that he had more critters thrown over him than Simon ‘It wasn’t an even spread.’

s they walked back they agreed to wind up the other celebrities.

Joe suggested they ‘blagged’ it till dinner turned up but they couldn’t resist revealing they had won eight dinners for the nine celebrities.

David saw straight through their ruse, but played along with them. ‘They returned looking theatrically gloomy. I wasn’t fooled at all. Awful actors.'

After enjoying the adulation of his campmates Joe was soon off again, this time with Timmy to shear sheep.

The bungling pair attempted to catch, hold firm and then shear the animals under the instruction of an Australian cowboy.

They had to find numbers under the fleece in order to win the celebrity chest.

Joe said: ‘I don’t like sheep or any farm animals. I can’t do this Timmy’.
Having caught their first sheep Joe held it by its neck and back legs while Timmy attempted to shear it.

But the frisky sheep was having none of it and struggled under his legs. ‘That’s the worst haircut you’ve ever had,’ said Joe.

After all four numbers had been found on the sheep, Joe said: ‘They kicked with sharp hooves, I got an experience I’ve never had before. I nearly cut off ‘Alfie’ but he survived. I don’t like sheep, they s*** on the scissors.’

With the chest in the camp, the celebrities had to answer the question in order to retrieve the contents. ‘Which Royal Prince would gay men rather date, Prince William or Harry.’

George initially thought William. ‘He’s better looking but Prince Harry seems like more fun.’

Joe pushed him to make a decision: ‘If they were both stood there naked, who would you choose?’ George still felt it would be William but Nicola insisted it would be Harry as he appears to be better fun.

Eventually the consensus was Harry and George agreed.

Opening the chest to the correct answer the celebrities found they had won tea and a dozen Jaffa cakes biscuits from Cerys Matthews.

In one of his odd monologues to himself in the bus, David said: ‘Would Martina’s face crack with a smile or what? She looked p*ssed off when they came back with the chest.’
