Oops! I\'ve done it now

OOPS! I'VE DONE IT NOW TROUBLED Britney Spears’ British comeback came crashing down after her shambolic behaviour over the weekend.
Fans branded her return a “slap in the face” and a “disaster” after her live performance on the X Factor.
She stumbled and mimed her way through her much-hyped appearance.
And thousands of fans who queued at London nightclub G-A-Y were left disappointed after she refused to take to the stage sparking chaos.
The only thing Britney, 26, did manage to do well was blow out the candles on a cake before her birthday tomorrow.
Then the embarrassed star tried to hide her face, disguised in sunglasses, trilby hat and a duffel coat as she slipped out of the country early yesterday.
Despite helping X Factor pull in its biggest ratings of the series, almost 13million, Brit lip-synched her way through new single Womanizer during the results show, which drew 11m viewers – another record. But her act left the audience, which included Kate Moss, 34, and James Cordon, 30, disappointed.
James told Xtra Factor host Holly Willoughby: “The song sounded great but I have already got the CD so I don’t need to see somebody come out and mime it.”
The singer then went to G-A-Y but fans were angry when she refused to go on stage.
All hell broke loose when the organiser Michael Mitchell told the crowd: “You can boo all you like, she’s not coming. Now it’s time to leave.”
Britney then hot-footed it to a nearby bar with pals who presented her with a cake.
Simon Martin, 22, from London, was in the crowd at G-A-Y and said he thought he was going to get crushed to death.
Last night furious fans wrote on gossip websites called her no-show “another slap in the face for Europe” and “an absolute disaster”. X Factor insiders described her visit as shambolic. The contestants were banned from even seeing her.
Her disastrous appearances came as Britney gives her version of her public breakdown in a documentary tonight.
Last night Britney’s spokesman Shoshanna Stone denied claims it had been a bad weekend. She said Britney had had a fantastic time and hit back at reports she snubbed her fans at G-A-Y.
She said: “Contrary to reports, Britney Spears was never booked to perform or even appear at G-A-Y. She was invited to the evening but was never asked to perform.
“Following her incredible X Factor performance Britney took up the invite and relaxed among friends.”
