X Factor reject Ruth blings it up in a JLS necklace to show her support for the boys She might be out of the X Factor but Ruth Lorenzo is flying the flag for her favourite contestants.
The Spanish singer – who was eliminated on Saturday – made her first public appearance since the show wearing a JLS necklace.
Lorenzo – dressed all in black – was still smiling despite losing out on a place in the semi finals.
Earlier she had admitted that she would miss pals JLS - Marvin Humes, 23, Ortise Williams, 21, Jonathan Gill, 22, 20-year-old Aston Merrygold and Alexandra, 19, the most.
'I'm going to miss JLS and obviously Alexandra, she's my best friend, but mainly just the mad rushing around in the build up to a live show,’ she told the official X Factor website.
"It's been amazing and I will only take positives from this, I can't think of anything negative to say, that's why I can't be sad today.
"I really hope JLS and Alexandra will be in the final, and Alexandra will win! And I ask everyone who has voted for me to now vote for her."
In an earlier press conference the 26-year-old admitted that flirting with judge Simon Cowell had helped her confidence.
‘He's such a flirt! It's really made me very confident because I'm a curvy Spanish girl, and I've always felt overweight or not pretty enough.
‘And to have this man - who is so powerful and hangs around with beautiful women - saying 'yeah, I fancy you', it's like, 'OK, I might not be that bad then'."
Lorenzo said that she didn't regret her decision to ignore his advice and sing in English rather than her native Spanish.
‘Throughout the competition I've always said I didn't want to sing in Spanish, because I thought it was so disrespectful for Britain because they speak English here, so that's the language I should have sung in,’ she said.
She also said that she was not surprised to be eliminated despite receiving praise from the judges.
"I was not surprised because somebody has to go. Everybody in the competition at this point is very unique and very very talented. I left feeling that I sang my heart out with my favourite songs."
