A Children's BBC presenter has been accused of swearing during a live Saturday morning show.
Barney Harwood allegedly used the F-word during last weekend's edition of Basil's Swap Shop on BBC2. The presenter is accused of saying "oh *******" after failing to smash open a ball during one of the challenges featured on the programme. One angry parent told The Sun: "I did a double take when I heard him. It's shocking that a kids' presenter should say that live on telly." The BBC has insisted that Barney did not swear during the programme. A spokesperson said that he had actually said "On t' floor" as the ball he was attempting to smash dropped to the ground. It isn't the first time that a show featuring Basil Brush has been in hot water. Last year a complaint was made to the police about an episode which featured the fox telling jokes about gypsies.
