Exciting news... a brand new family will be arriving in Emmerdale in July, to take over Butler's Farm.
The Bartons, made up of family man John, his wife Moira and their kids Holly, Adam and Hannah, are lively and loveable but will the villagers give them a warm welcome? Life won't be plain sailing when a dramatic accident looks set to spell a volatile relationship with the Wyldes... Head of the clan John Barton will be played by actor James Thornton, well known for his roles in Holby Blue, Kingdom and Where the Heart Is. John's wife, Moira - farmer's wife by day and Woolpack barmaid by night - will be played by former The Bill star, Natalie J Robb. Their children will be portrayed by Sophie Powles, Adam Thomas and Grace Cassidy respectively. Gavin Blyth, Emmerdale series producer says: “We wanted to stay true to Emmerdale’s heritage by introducing a modern-day farming family at the heart of the village. "The Bartons will continue to take the show forward in contemporary style as the show embraces a series of new signings for an exciting future.” ITV.com |
