FAKEDANCER Fred Bowers — exposed by The Sun for claiming disability benefit while dancing on Britain’s Got Talent — has offered to PAY BACK the cash like MPs.
Fred, 73, insisted he still deserves his weekly £70.35 Disability Living Allowance and £49.10 Motability cash for a car. This is on top of his state pension. A Department of Work and Pensions probe is underway. And Fred last night said if the investigation did uncover wrongdoing, he would reimburse the state. Fred, of Sutton Bonington, Notts, even claimed dancing had helped his leg get better. He is set to perform his acrobatic spins and amazing rolls in Thursday’s ITV1 semi-final. He said: “Dancing improved my leg, I didn’t know it was going to cure it. When I first claimed I could hardly walk. “This could have ruined my chances of winning Britain’s Got Talent. “To be honest, I want shot of my Motability allowance and I don’t care if they stop my Disability Allowance. “I think I know who reported me, they are just envious.” http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...-benefits.html |
