TARA the turbo-charged border collie was last night crowned the fastest pet dog in the country. The super-speedy three-year-old bitch romped to victory in our fantastic Fastest Dog In Britain grand final.
Her time over 100 metres was a jaw-dropping 5.5 SECONDS and last night her owner Mark Bagshaw beamed: “I’m over the moon. “I knew Tara could move from watching her chase stones but I never dreamed she would be faster than hundreds of dogs from across the country.”
Mark, 34, an IT systems administrator, picked up the Real McCoy’s Cup and a cheque for £1,000 from Big Brother stars Maxwell and Saskia, who hosted the final run-in.
