ALAN Carr and Justin Lee Collins are to end their telly partnership, TV Biz can reveal.
Their hit show The Sunday Night Project will end after three years as Alan wants out.
The funnymen and close pals will now focus on their solo careers. Camp comic Alan, 33, has signed an exclusive £3million two-year deal with C4 and will film 20 more episodes of his Chatty Man talkshow over the next year.
JLC, 34, is to shoot another series of his ITV2 chat show and is in talks with Sky One about other projects.
Last night a C4 source said: "Alan and Justin have loved the Sunday Night Project, but the time has come to go their separate ways.
"Alan was the one to first say he didn't want to do any more - he's moving on to bigger things."
And Alan has admitted he is shocked by his own success. He joked: "That's a lot of flukes for someone who allegedly just turned up at Channel 4 and said 'Hello sailor'."
The Sunday Night Project makers Princess Productions are considering bringing it back with fresh faces.
A source said: "It's one of a number of options we are looking at, but for the time being the show will be off air."
The news comes just months after C4 scrapped JLC's Bring Back show as it was too costly.
A source said: "It's not been a flop by any means but in the current climate the bosses need to spend wisely."
