Found this in the Daily Record - personally I would have thought Shell has made more money and Jade a little less. Perhaps they mean what they have left. Good to see a nice story about BB people anyway.


Big Brother star's £2m tops reality TV rich list

JADE GOODY might have appeared thick on Big Brother 3 - but she has made the most money out of all women appearing on reality TV.

The 24-year-old tops a reality TV rich list produced by B Magazine, which features two Scots among the top 20.

The magazine has estimated that Jade - who thought Rio de Janeiro was a footballer - has earned £2million since her Big Brother appearance.

In addition to regular media gigs, she has released a workout DVD, invested in her beauty business and trained as a beauty consultant so she has something to fall back on.

Glaswegian Michelle McManus, winner of Pop Idol 2, is estimated to have earned £1million and Shell Jubin, from Big Brother 5, has netted £150,000.

Yesterday, Shell said: "BB doesn't last forever. I could have earned more if I'd done everything that came my way but I've had fun and it hasn't taken over my life.

"I still try to live on a student-type budget but I've bought a flat in Glasgow, paid off my mum's mortgage and bought computers for my brother, sister and myself."

Kym Marsh, who featured in Popstars in 2001 and went on to star in Hear'Say with Suzanne Shaw and Myleene Klass, is thought to have made about £1.3million since appearing on the show She said: "That first Christmas, I went mad on the kids, taking them to Disney World and buying them the best presents. I also bought my house.

"I try to be careful, as it's easy to go mad spending, then end up with nothing as your star fades."

Javine Hylton, who appeared in Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, has made about £1.1million.

She said: "I bought a flat, an Audi TT car, a £2000 Cartier watch and a £300 Gucci dress for my 21st but I've invested the rest.

"I want to stay in the business but you have to remember that fame can vanish as quickly as it came."

Myleene Klass, from Popstars 2001, said: "I paid off my £10,000 student loan.

"My first splurge was my £8000 piano. Then I got matching handbags for me, Mum and my sister
