Marcus is a legend. But he would need something major to happen for him to gain enough support to actually win.

However, there is one possible scenario, grounded in recent events in the House, which could change things: if.... if the Siavash/Noirin situation blew up in the House and Marcus handled it calmly and with some generosity and quickly gained a lot of sympathy, then he might stand a chance.

But that is a hell of a stretch.
