Default How can I get rid of/reduce muscle?

Ok so recently I have lost some weight and started running and walking,I always had quite muscular legs even when I was bigger but since the dieting/exercising they have become really noticable and I hate it!It was never my intention to build muscle,I simply enjoyed running and walking and wanted to loose weight so I chose to excercise in this way.Does anyone have any advice on how I can make it less noticeable, other than covering them up 24/7-which doesn`t actually help anyway as you can still tell even when Im wearing leggings and tight jeans.
I know this is a really random/wierd post but I know a few of you are into your fitness so maybe you could offer me some advice. Also,I`ve never gone to a gym before but I am thinking of joining, anyone had any bad or good gym experiences?
