Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reiterated his desire to sign a new striker although he is getting nowhere fast in his search.
The Gunners attack has been decimated by injuries this season with the likes of Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner all currently sidelined.
Youngster Theo Walcott has been restricted him to just three starts in the Premier League and Wenger admits he is still seeking a new frontman.
The Arsenal boss said: "Yes, I am still thinking about trying to bring someone in this month, but I must confess I am not very close to doing anything at this moment.
"I am looking at buying strikers because when we started the season we were playing with Van Persie and Bendtner up front.
"But at the moment we don't have either of them, while we are also without Walcott.
"So we are missing those three as we enter a very important period of the season when every point is crucial and can make the difference at the end of a season.
"But right now I am not close because I am yet to find a player who can convince me that he is better than what we have already."
