I think a lot of us over here think that we have more regional variants of accents in Britain.
I can think of Mancunian, Scouse, Yorkshire, Brummie, Cockney, Cornish, Welsh, Aberdonian, Glaswegian and so on. Can't think of as many American variations, but it might be that we aren't as used to them here so we don't notice the subtle differences. |
