As Jed was put into the back of the police car worried thoughts ran through his head. He could see from the top balcony the rest of the Detectives waving him off with patronising smiles. He suspected that within the next day those smiles would be wiped off their faces.



The car picked up pace and soon entered the highway. He looked as the city lights and passing traffic whizzed past, mere blurs now as they reached 70mph.

He was brought back to reality with a series of cries from the front seats - the police officer probably spilt his coffee, the fat bastard, Jed thought.

"THE BRAKES! THEY AREN'T WORKING!" Officer Clancy cried, and Jed knew he was suffering the same fate Joy had done. The road was now merging into a dual carriageway, and there was a fairly sharp turn ahead.

"Pull the handbrake!" Jed cried but it did nothing - the Killer knew his automobiles. "Oh God-" Jed began - as the squad car mounted the curb and flipped 3 times mid-air before crashing into a steel barrier.
