Default Britain's Got Talent 2010 weirdest auditions revealed

Britain’s Got Talent kicks off this Saturday and was dubbed by Piers Morgan as the ‘weirdest’ series yet – he wasn’t exaggerating.

As with every year, the judges see the good with the bad and the down right ugly but this year they’re taking no prisoners whatsoever as the auditions had shocks and stomach wrenches in store for them.

There were raunchy Shakespeare acts, dancing dogs and gut-wrenching belly dancers but one of the weirdest acts was three people – sex unknown – coming onto the stage fully decked in a lycra suit.

The trio – wearing red, pink and orange full-bodied cat suits – were practically booed off stage but sought solace by saying they were an ‘interpretive dance act’.

Another dress-up act caused such a stir in the judges that judge Amanda Holden got so irritated, when asked by Simon what her views were, she seethed: ‘I can’t believe how much time we’ve just wasted talking about him.’

It was lucky the judging panel saw raw talent in the form of a charismatic pensioner who bought the crowd to their feet with his rendition of a Second World War tune.

Likewise there were Diversity-like dance acts that shone on stage as well as Susan Boyle wannabees.

One of the dance acts in particular wowed the crowds and an insider told The Sun: ‘They had loads of energy and there were lots of high kicks. The crowd really loved them.’

The auditions will also see guest judge Louis Walsh take Simon Cowell’s hot seat during the Birmingham round when the pop mogul fell ill.

Fellow judge Morgan was asked by The Sun what the worst audition of the year was and he retorted: ‘Louis Walsh as a judge. I’d have buzzed him off after ten minutes.’

‘Louis came in determined to by the new head judge, and even had a badge made to confirm this,’ he added.

Though who Piers is to criticise someone else’s ego is another matter altogether.

Don’t miss the fourth series of Britain’s Got Talent on ITV1 this Saturday at 8pm.
