Well, lets take Dave as an example ... he would most certainly be nice to your face (as he is to all HMs face on) but turn your back and the bile will flow ...
but you are right, you'd never be aware of it because he's never 'nasty' within earshot.
He, for one isn't just nasty, he's utterly horrible (when he knows you can't hear)
