JJ has been attempting to convince John James to agree to an interview upon his departure from the Big Brother house.

The current bookies' favourite for the chop previously stated that he would refuse to be quizzed by Davina McCall as punishment for Big Brother's decision to allow Nathan and Rachael back into the house, but the 23-year-old pro boxer argued that he could be missing a golden opportunity.

"If you're going to go out the front doors, this is your chance to put your point across and put the record straight," JJ said.

"If papers are interested in any story after you leave it will be you and Josie, so people will be banging on at you.

"They will do whatever they can to get a story out of you, and whether you say it's true or not they're going to write it, so you might as well set the record straight so they know what your deal is."

As John James took note of his friend's words of advice, JJ continued: "It won't be as harsh or as bad [as you think]. They don't just comment on the person that's come out, they comment on things that happened in the last week, or past moments, funny moments. They're not going to ask you straight up about your opinions on Josie."

Adding that the Australian housemate's silence could look suspicious, JJ concluded: "People will say something must have happened because he doesn't want to defend himself or he doesn't want to talk about it."

John James nodded along and seemed to agree to JJ's insistence that he wait before deciding whether or not he wanted to share his story.
