The former X Factor star, 21, won the ITV jungle series, defeating Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder in the final on Saturday.

But the biggest drama came when the cameras were switched off and a flood swept through the region, destroying the camp, where soggy contestants had already endured heavy rain for most of their three-week stay.

And Stacey said that while she is not sure if her prize survived the mess, she is just glad nobody was in the camp when it was wrecked.

She said: "The crown is still in the jungle. I hope it hasn't been swept away. It's the first time I've won anything.

"As we tried to leave the jungle, the whole valley was waterlogged. We were stuck there for hours.

"Eventually, they had to drive us out in 4x4s. We had to go through the water, but the levels were really high. It was scary. The camp has been washed away too. Thank God it didn't happen the day before when we were still in there."
