Some of this sounds like it could make interesting viewing.
Especially the fact that each housemate has their own individual prize fund which another housemate can steal from them!!! ![]() Shhh, it’s a secret Secret Story began life as the French version of Big Brother in 2007. It’s the same in all but name – Big Brother is referred to as ‘The Voice’, or ‘La Voix’ – but there’s an added twist. Everyone in the house has a secret, and their own personal prize fund (€10,000 in the French version). It is their objective to guess the other housemates’ secrets. If someone guesses another housemate’s secret, they earn that housemate’s entire prize fund. Only the finalists get to keep their money – evictees leave with nothing. The winner gets a jackpot cash prize (typically €100,000) in addition to their personal prize fund. But that’s not all. Big Brother/The Voice also gives housemates the chance to add to their prize funds by completing secret missions, while the actual house also hides a secret – whoever discovers it wins a guaranteed place in the final. Housemates’ secrets can range from the normal – such as jobs, relationships and achievements – to the wacky: one French contestant had to hide the fact he was in contact with aliens! However, the eleventh series of Big Brother Germany – which ends in September – is using the Secret Story format under the title ‘Big Brother: The Secret’. So, what do you think – would you like Secret Story to be integrated with BBUK, or Is Endemol better to save it and try launching it seperately when Big Brother is eventually axed by Channel 5?
