CAMERON FISHY BETS SCAM Jun 21 2003
Big Bro sting as Scot stays but Fed and Jon axed
Mark Mcgivern
FISH dealer Cameron shocked Big Brother fans last night by dodging eviction.
And there were claims of a betting scam after Jon - who was a 16/1 outsider to be given the boot - was shown the door.
The odds on the Star Wars bore being axed dropped to 10/1 as bets piled on.
But Cameron and fellow Scot Fed were clear favourites for the chop in the viewers' vote. Last night, Record reader John Ferguson, 26, of Bearsden, near Glasgow, said: "It seems a bit fishy.
"I can't believe the vote is fair. There is no way that Cameron would have beaten Jon this time around."
Nice-guy Cam, from Orkney, wasn't expected to beat unlikely hero Jon, a dull data manager from Staines, London.
He was priced at 6/4 for the axe by bookies, while Federico was 7/4-on. But Jon got 641,802 votes, while Cameron - the girls' favourite housemate - was given 589,664.

This was a problem with BB3, it looks like the betting cartels have made a return. If this is the case are Endemol / C4 going to investigate.
Somehow I do not see them caring that much so long as they get their 25p votes
