Your forgetting Harry knows Aaron better than all of us, i'd say even Faye.

I believe him because his behavior towards her doesn't chime with a genuine person. He loves her, yet brakes up with her over irrational reasons, he loves her, yet would save Alex over her, he says Alex is great fun to be with and deserves to be in the final, then a day or 2 later says, he's got nothing in common with Alex, Alex today is playing a game according to him
