Been a reader of these forums since BB10 (Marcus and Freddie fan) but never could be bothered to post until now, just to show my support for arguably the greatest HM ever - Aaron.
Lets get the obvious out of the way, he made the show, all of the story lines revolved around him, he was an enigma that was constantly unpredictable in his reactions. Thus making him an individual who has a layered well developed personality and is not one or two dimensional like Alex/Jay/Louise. It can be argued he has a gameplan but so what? You would think everyone remaining there has a gameplan they are just not intelligent or witty enough to display it or cause as much of a ****-stir that Aarons supposed gameplan has done. He has been the most real character in there because he has shown his vulnerabilities as much as his appeal, at points I despised his strops but thats what being a human is all about; showcasing your flaws. You can't always be a dumb blonde, over the top optimistic, bubbly person for 60 days unless you are definitely playing a game. She is harmless but she was also invisible for a large portion of BB. You can't be a 'i am normal, me' type 1-dimensional being who is attempting to play up to all the previous popular HM stereotypes (particularly Sophie). Louise is 1-dimensional and therefore just attempts to embrace previous mannerisms that were considered 'playful and entertaining' but they simply do not connect with her 1-dimensional-ness. I am not even going to talk about Jay as he is just a disgusting human being. And it would take me far too long to write in words how much I despise a 'looter' like character that he showcases. His fans should be ashamed of himself for supporting such a character as a representative of the UK. We all are fond of finding the grey or the white in black characters with 'shoddy upbringings' like Jay Mcray the gangster, the reality is that more often than not its just that, a boulevard dream of sorts only seen in the likes of Guy Ritchie movies, in the real world, a rude gangster is a rude gangster and there are no ways around it. People tune into BB to be entertained indeed but they need to realize that at the foundation of it, the crux is that its a social experiment meant to highlight the best and worst sides of people and their interactions. Aaron has lived up to that social experiment and showcased the most multi-dimensional character in ions. Alex, Loise and Jay have rarely done so. To put it simply, assume hypothetically that you were an intern working for a 'god-scientist' whose responsibility for the week is to write a report on a specimen in this 'glass BB box social experiment' that has to be a certain length 10 pages whatsoever, only a daft intern would chose to write on Alex or Jay or Louise as they would be done in with their 1-dimensionless. The obvious pick would ALWAYS BE AARON. |
