A teenager from Castle Vale, Birmingham has admitted to eating almost nothing but chicken nuggets every day.

Stacey Irvine, 17, has been eating the fast food since she was 2 years old, but was taken to hospital recently when she collapsed.

She was treated with vitamins after it was discovered that she had not been eating any fruit or vegetables at all, reports The Sun.

The only other foods Irvine eats are fries to accompany her nuggets, crisps and sometimes a slice of toast for breakfast.

After being told by doctors to eat a more balanced diet, she commented: "I am starting to realise this is really bad for me."

Stacey added that her mother Evonne had tried to feed her different foods before giving up.

"I first tasted chicken nuggets when my mum took me to McDonald's when I was 2," she said. "I loved them so much that they were all I would eat.

"I just couldn't face even trying other foods. Mum gave up giving me anything else years ago."

Evonne said: "It breaks my heart to see her eating those damned nuggets. She's been told in no uncertain terms that she'll die if she carries on like this. But she says she can't eat anything else."

Stacey revealed that her favourite brand of nuggets are McDonald's Chicken McNuggets.

"I also like KFC and supermarket brands," she added. "My main meal is always chicken nuggets every day."
