Default Blur to release 65 previously unheard songs, '21' compilation boxset

Blur will release 65 previously unreleased songs later this year.

The tracks - two of which are titled 'Saturday Morning' and 'Hope You Find Your Suburbs' - will be made available as part of an exhaustive reissue of the band's compiled work in one boxset.

The collection, to be entitled 21, will include all seven of the group's studio albums along with over five and a half hours of unreleased material.

This material is comprised of the 65 previously unheard tracks and 130 rarities, three DVDs, a special edition 7" vinyl and a collector's edition book, which will include rare photos and a new interview with the band.

Blur's first five studio albums - Leisure (1991), Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993), Parklife (1994), The Great Escape (1995) and Blur (1997) - have been digitally re-mastered by Frank Arkwright, with guitarist Graham Coxon and producer Stephen Street overseeing the process.

The 21 boxset will be released on July 30.

Damon Albarn recently said that Blur's upcoming Hyde Park gig is likely to be their last.

Coxon has hinted that the band may play new material at the gig, which will mark the end of the London Olympics.
