This edition of Most Loved is marked with a lot of sadness for a variety of reasons. In the last six months we, as an online community, have been hit with more than our fair share of bad news. The unexpected passing of Kerry was a deeply upsetting time for us all and I still find myself getting teary eyed whenever I stumble across one of her old posts, knowing that she’s not going to be around anymore to give me advice or chat away with me at 4am on a Tuesday or something equally as ridiculous. A much loved member of the moderating team, Kerry’s contributions to the forum were outstanding and she is sorely missed. The bad news wasn’t limited to just Kerry though, as we also discovered that one time Brotherhood leader andyman had also passed away many months previously, explaining his sudden absence from the forum. Andy was notorious for his food signatures which angered stomachs across the forum, and for his witty sense of humour. Although our discovery of this news was delayed, it still impacted the forum greatly with many old members returning to pay their condolences. The bad news, although thankfully not as serious in nature as the two aforementioned passings, continues as we now turn to say goodbye to ukturtle, Ben, another one of our moderators. Ben is packing up his life and moving to New Zealand to start a new life there – meaning he won’t have much time to be on the forum, if at all, anymore. I know I’m not alone in saying that I think Ben is absolutely one of the best members on this site, and his presence on here will be missed terribly when he leaves. His departure is one of the main reasons why I brought Most Loved forward by a month, as it wouldn’t feel right to host it knowing that one of our most important members has already gone. So here’s to Kerry, for all of her late night entertainment, advice and help, to andyman for inspiring the Brotherhood, his lasting legacy and eating like a king, and to ukturtle for all his contributions to the forum, and here’s to wishing him all the best in his future life in New Zealand!
