Skimmed through the football topics, I haven't even slept but **** it.
------------------------------------------------------------ A 5 hour+ journey I made to hopefully see us show the world we are still the top dogs of Manchester. What I saw us do was absolutely bend over in fear. Everyone in the ground could see City were scared as hell in the first 10 mins or so.. The loss doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as the fact that we done nothing about it. We need a ball winner like never before. Scholes done all he could, and you could at least see that he cared, but for how long can we rely on 37 year olds? In terms of creativity we have NOTHING if our Wingers have an off day, which Nani had. Scholes is usually so deep trying to win the ball back against teams that dare to attack Manchester United, and when he does he will usually play it to someone else who boots it long to nobody. Rooney dropped back to create something, but without Wellbeck up front, there was no one there for him. As for the tactics, alot of people seem to be getting angry over this. It is pretty clear what Sir Alex wanted to do. Hold them off for the first half and then take it to them in the 2nd when their nerves started to appear. This could well of worked it it wasn't for ONE concentration lapse from an inexperienced player. Vidic is fit and that goal doesn't happen. Might seem extreme but that is 99% the truth. It's a shame because Smalling was decent apart from that. Fletcher...................Well, we saw him in the away stand. A few of us asked him how it's going and if he might be coming back anytime soon and he just looked dejected and replied with I dunnos. I remember saying to my mate, before the match that we could of done with him today. And after the match, seeing him with us in the stands it was made clear that he showed more heart, desire and passion than any United player on that pitch, and that is Darren Fletcher, he isn't the best footballer, but you could bet your house that he won't let you down. Such a shame if he is retiring. Great guy. Ending notion. Yeah well done Man City, you were the better team. You may be playing Football Manager with unlimited funds, but who cares. We didn't do enough to try take it to them. We ****ed up an 8 point lead which suggests the one thing we all raved about(Our experience) obviously wasn't as strong as we thought. This is just another challenge for us to have to overpower. We done it when Arsenal looked like dominating, done it when Chelsea did, and I am sure we will do it again, because we have a Manager who can achieve anything. Yeah, I felt terrible last night and this morning, but this is Football.
