Default BB - does it desensitivise scandal, offence and controversy

I am wondering if BB has an adverse affect on offensive
and controversial issues, making abhorant things seem humdrum
n OK.

For example Caroline called Adam a gorilla. Now if didn't
see her on TV we'd mainly be disgusted but seeing her as a
3D person as opposed to a black n white tabloid image has humanised
her so even if you hate her comments there may be something
you like about her n thus we forget the offence. Ditto Conor.
