Default Leona ... scoops gig on A-list chatshow

X Factor babe cracks the U.S.

X FACTOR fave Leona Lewis has made a big breakthrough in the US after landing a gig on a major chatshow.

Her mentor Simon Cowell boasted on Saturday’s ITV1 show that she would be a big star across the pond — but we can reveal she has already made it.

The stunning singer, 21, has been invited onto The Ellen DeGeneres Show — the US equivalent of The Paul O’Grady Show.

Lesbian comic Ellen’s daytime programme frequently attracts A-list guests including Tom Cruise, Bill Clinton and Justin Timberlake.

An insider said: “It’s a massive boost for Leona because Ellen’s show is huge in America and you have to be pretty special to get on.

“They have been checking her out each week on the show because there’s been a real buzz around her out there. They made contact and invited her to come and be a guest.”
